| Step Three: Creating the base and the tombstone The Base: Roll the clay into a ball and flatten it with your palm, so that the surfaces will be uneven. Flatten to a thickness of between 3.0 mm to 4.0 mm. Using a round cutter matching the size of the globe base, cut out a piece of clay (it should be within 70 mm in diameter). To see how the whole base will look, refer to Creating The Diorama.
| Apply talcum or baby powder to globe base, so that the clay will not stain or stick to the base. With a wooden clay tool, pierce the clay to correspond with the water filler hole on the globe base. At this point you can also texture the surface of the base with a toothbrush.
| Position the Haunted Toilet on the globe base and mark the position with a toothpick. Make sure that the water filler hole is positioned behind the toilet. Remove the clay base and clean the eberhard globe base with tissue.
| Cut out the toilet position on the clay base, make sure that you do not distort the base. Try fitting the clay base with eberhard globe a couple of times, to ensure a good fit. Also check and fit the water filler hole position. Tombstone: Bake the base in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes at 130ºC. After baking use the permanent fine pen and write on wording, such as, R.I.P, on the tombstone.
| Fit the Haunted Toilet to the base using super glue to secure the position. As for the door you can split them into two parts (refer to Plan And Design) or leave it as above. |
| Position the whole diorama on to the globe base. You may weather the toilet further, making it old and run down. Do not forget to create graffito on the toilet exterior walls, such as, DANGER!, KEEP OUT!, HAUNTED! Fit the diorama on to the globe base. Refer to Creating The Diorama.
| This is the final part before we seal the transparent globe to the globe base. Be careful when using two parts epoxy cement and liquid plastic cement. Make sure that the liquid plastic cement don't come into contact with the black globe base or the transparent globe, or you will stain the surfaces. If the epoxy cement accidentally stains any part of the globe base quickly clean it with a dry cloth. Mixed the two parts epoxy equally and apply the cement on the base of the diorama. Place the diorama onto the globe base, align the water filler hole with the diorama filler hole. Be careful not to clog the transparent globe circular grove. Let the epoxy cement settle for 6 to 8 hr. When dry fit the transparent globe to the globe base, making sure it fits properly with the diorama in the globe. Go to Part One
