Creating the ghost and the final assembly

The Ghost
Creating the ghost is a little complicated. You will need to create two of them.

To begin with, you will have to use glow in the dark polymer clay. There are two brands, Sculpey Premo and Fimo Soft.

Then, follow the six steps in the above picture.

Start with a small ball of polymer clay approximately 8 mm in diameter. Use this ball as the center of your ghost.

Refer to Ghost And Buoyancy for further instructions.

Final Fitting
Position the two ghosts within the baked diorama for the final fitting or adjustment, so that there will be no obstruction and they will move around the globe properly.

If you are satisfied with the adjustment, bake the ghosts in the oven for 15 minutes.

Prepare the salt solution, and have it, the preservative, the glow in the dark glitter and the plastic liquid cement on standby.

Final Assembly
After baking, position the two ghosts in the diorama area. Do not secure them, as they need to be free-floating once the salt solution is added.

To secure the globe to the base, fill the circular groove in the base with liquid plastic cement applied evenly with a fine brush. If you are afraid you will stain or damage the black globe base, stick masking tape around its edge.

Cover the diorama with the globe, making sure it is properly fitted. Let the liquid plastic cement cure for two hours.

Once the cement has dried and the globe is secure to the base, open the water filler hole located on the underside of the base.

Add the glow in the dark glitter (not too much).

Pour in the premixed salt solution through the water filler hole, making sure that there are no air bubbles, and add a few drops of eberhard preservative, to prevent the water from becoming cloudy. Refer to instruction on Sealing And Filling The Globe.

Close the filler hole with the cap and shake the globe. You will see the ghosts floating in between, in and around the haunted toilet.

Switch off your room light and you will see two floating glowing ghosts!
