Step One: Roll out
a log of scrap clay to the height of your ghost plus about 1/8". Press
marble into one end of the log. |
 |
Step Two: Place on your work surface
and press down to adhere to surface. Pull enough clay down from log to
form a "skirt" as wide as the marble. |
 |
Step Three: Pull a bit of clay
up to meet the widest part of marble. Smooth so there is no seam to transfer
to your clay.
Back for about an hour. |
That's it. It doesn't have to be beautiful.
This one leans because of the shape I wanted for the ghost.
(It's coming to get you, bwahahaha!)
|
| Tip: Put a little cornstarch
or talc over the stand each time before shaping your ghost if your clay
is very soft or sticky. |
