Heidi Abrams Stamped PendantAfter a while, I decided it was time for me to go back to school, Ulster County Community College being the local, friendly, affordable choice. I thrived, and graduated Phi Theta Kappa with a degree focusing on Art History and marketing. Then, I almost continued on, beginning studies in arts administration at Empire State College - but there was a familiar pull... it was time for me to get back to my jewelry. So here I am, folks. Back to my craft. I still do developmental and marketing work for a local dance and music company called The Vanaver Caravan, and serve on the board of The Marbletown Arts Association... but my heart is with my clays, beads, baubles, and metals. I can't seem to shake it -  it's what I'm meant to do.

Heidi Abrams'Cat, IggyI enjoy living and working here in the Hudson Valley, with my boyfriend Ted and our lovely 5 year old... did I mention that 5 year old is a cat named Iggy? Thanks to them for being constant sources of humor and support... It takes a secure man to wear a tutu, and an even funnier one to let me put it on the web! And also thanks to my friends... you know who you are. And especially thanks to Meg, for never getting mad at me when I'd drag her to another fair, or make her scream at passing cars, or when I lowered her in a dumpster just to snag me some awesome telephone wire... yeah, I still feel a little guilty about that one."
