With Push Molds

A
quick visit to a
craft store reinforces the notion that scrapbooking and card making has
taken over the universe. There seems to be every kind of embellishment,
from sophisticated to cute, yet, there are times when just the right embellishment seems to elude
us. That's when push molds and polymer clay come to the
rescue.
Introducing
five new
EZ Release Push Molds from Polyform Products. The molds, designed by
Shelly Comiskey, are just as delightful as the artist who created them.
Shelly says, "We
wanted the molds to be
fun, easy and with themes that can be used for a great variety of
projects." And according
to Iris
Weiss, Polyform's Marketing Diva, the new molds "are
thinner in depth, making them more versatile for papercrafting and
embellishing
other craft projects."
I tried these molds myself and found them to be easy to use and
extremely versatile for making a vast number of charming and unique
keepsake creations. The best aspect of the molds is that they are made
from a revolutionary
flexible mold material requiring NO release agent. The molds
truly live up to the promise that "getting the clay out of
the mold is just as easy as
it was to get in."
Overall, Polyform offers 19 themes including the newest five: Alphabet
Tiles, Are We
There Yet?, Oh, Baby!, Stars & Stripes!, and my
favorite, Four Seasons (a double mold). Below are pictures of
each mold and samples of what you can make with them. You can
also see excellent examples of embellishments made with these push
molds in our new scrapbooking feature: Scrapbooking
with Polymer
Clay by Linda Hess.

Embellishments made with
polymer clay are lightweight, thin, won’t cause abrasion, and best of
all, inexpensive. Polyform's testing
indicates that cured (baked) Premo! Sculpey polymer clay has a neutral
PH (acid FREE) and is Lignin FREE!
Allison Strine, Polyform
scrapbook expert recommends using glue dots or double sided
tape to adhere accents to your scrapbook page.
