Designing Quilts In Polymer Clay
Judith Skinner and Sarajane Helm are very pleased to announce that they
are busily creating their new book “Designing Quilts In Polymer Clay.”
With combined interests in textile design, quilt patterns, and both
Millefiore caning and textural works in polymer clay, this book will be
packed with information, projects, and gorgeous photos. They are
currently seeking submissions of quilt-themed polymer clay works for
inclusion. Professional quality 35mm slides or digital images at a
minimum of 300dpi are required for best print quality. Deadline for
review is May
1, 2006.
Sarajane says, “We will feature as many of the best and most beautiful
images of quilt-oriented work that we can find—and I know there are
many stunning pieces out there. Please consider being a part of this
wonderful project! "
Digital: please send a disc with high resolution pictures of your work
saved at a minimum of 300dpi, CMYK mode is preferable to RGB. Send
large, unaltered files for best results in Photoshop editing
here. Please label all discs with your name.
Slides: 35mm color slide negatives will be scanned and digitally saved,
and then your slides will be returned in your SASE. PLEASE LABEL
ALL SLIDES WITH YOUR NAME.
Please complete the section with a list of the images you are sending,
and the name of the photographer. List the name of the piece shown if
it has one. Please submit images of works that have not appeared in
other books in print, and showcase your best.
A note from Sarajane: “We can't pay for the use of your art in this
book, but you will be fully credited. It's always good to get your name
and work out in the public eye. All participating artists will be
listed with contact information in an Artists' Directory, so here’s an
opportunity to advertise your web site or business. We ask you to
include:
* Your labeled 35mm color slides or disc.
* The title of each piece, also the photographer's
name.
* A clearly printed spelling of your name and
contact information as you wish it to appear in credits.
* A self addressed stamped envelope for the return
of your slides.
* The signed statement saying you will allow
publication of your image(s), if chosen, in "Designing Quilts In
Polymer Clay" by Judith Skinner and Sarajane Helm.
